Constantine

Constantine was the Roman emperor who recognized Christianity and made if possible for the Church to move from the underground into the public arena. He did it out of convenience, thinking that it would be easier to work with the Christian church than try to fight it. He lived most of his life as a ruthless leader who gave the orders to kill even members of his family. Constantine accomplished much good in his life, even though he had what most would say were impure motives.

But the Roman Constantine is not the same as the same-named title character of the new film, "Constantine," from DC-Vertigo Comics and Warner Brothers Pictures. Or is he? John Constantine, from the comic novels "Hellblazer," is doomed to hell when he dies. His situation may be hopeless, but he operates as if he could buy his way into heaven by doing enough good by removing enough evil from the world. He's a chain-smoking, hard-drinking, rude and uncaring man who is the hero of our film.

Angela Dodson is a pure-hearted, loving sister who is seeking the truth to her twin sister, Isabel's, death. It would seem she has nothing but the best motives, but conflicted people and incongruous motives are what make this movie interesting.

Interesting questions surrounding the death of Jesus Christ, the existence of demons on Earth, the ultimate destination of our soul when we die and even the perfect lack of all evil in angels are woven into a screen adaptation of a character and story with a cult following. It seems as though this ambiguity regarding good and evil may exist in film as well as real life. In "Constantine," it is not good verses evil -- but rather it is good and evil taking turns messing things up and making them better. In life the rule seems to be strangely similar. John Constantine's ability to do good without pure motives may give hope to the rest of us who regularly do things for all the wrong reasons.

The visuals and the sound presentation in this film are wonderful. Philippe Rousselot's cinematography and Brian Tyler and Klaus Badelt's energetic soundtrack are masterful. The acting, however, is only adequate. Keanu Reaves has long since learned how to play Keanu Reaves. He continues with what he knows best. Shia LaBeouf, after a similar role in "I, Robot," is becoming quite an accomplished "plucky sidekick" too. But the standout in this film is the emotional and endearing performance by Rachel Weisz as Angela Dodson. The movie is one worth seeing aside from her presence, but Weisz's performance take it from a "see it if you like action movies" recommendation to a "see it to admire Rachel Weisz's performance" endorsement.

Michael Jennings is a reverse engineer and what he does is technical jobs for certain companies and as soon as he is done, his memory of the work he has done is wiped out. Now the longest he has been contracted is 2 months. But now billionaire, James Rethrick offers him a job that would last 2 years, maybe 3, and he promises that he will probably earn 8 figures. Michael agrees. Before beginning he turns in all of his personal effects. And when the job is done, his memory is erased and he learns he made over 90 million dollars over the three years. When he goes to claim it and his personal effects, he discovers that prior to the erasure of his memory he waived his rights to the money he earned and that the items that were given to him were not the ones he gave when he began. Later he is arrested by the FBI who say that he committed some act of treason and murder. It's while he is in custody that he escapes using some the items that he was given. He later meets with a friend who gives him some information that helps him understand what is going on. And at the same time Rethrick for some reason wants him so he is being pursued by Rethrick's people.

The Story

Midnight, on a dark highway, strange events begin to happen.

"Death ride" is a psychological suspense horror film - in a new style - Highway Horror.

Through flashback, we see Greg alone at the home of his mistress, Japanese supermodel Yumi. As he waits for his lover, there is a knock on the door. Greg opens the door and sees his wife, Amanda. Greg tries to explain his presence at Yumi's home, but Amanda loses control of her emotions and begins to yell and push at Greg. Tragically, Amanda falls in the melee, hits her head and dies instantly from the trauma.

Greg panics. Gripped with fear, he immediately tries to cover up the crime. Greg wraps Amanda's body in a sheet and puts it in the trunk of his car. He decides to take her body to Black Lake, a remote spot in the woods where he and Amanda were married… and the very place where he met Yumi during a photo shoot. On his way there, he is plagued with fears and becomes extremely paranoid of being caught. What follows can only be explained by the presence of dark supernatural forces, or Greg's mind completely unraveling under the intense stress of one very long night.

simply append the number after /video/ i.e 1407293 to http://video.stage6.com/

If you get an error message then the movie has been pulled off the database as well otherwise download and enjoy.

I have also noticed that this can usually be done when the screen shot of the movie still appears on the users video list.

How to download and stream video from Veoh Movies

1. Register/Create an account on Veoh [link]
2. Download & Install VeohTV [link]

Instructions to Download the video via VeohTV

1. Navigate to the video you wish to watch.
2. Click on the button that is indicated by in the picture above. This should open the advanced download options.
3. Click on the button that is indicated by in the picture above.
4. This will open VeohTV and the movie should start downloading shortly.
5. Once the movie is downloaded go to My Documents -> My Videos -> Veoh. To prevent Veoh from removing it from your computer move it into a different folder and remove it from VeohTV.

Instructions to Stream the video on VeohTV

1. Navigate to the video you wish to watch.
2. Click on the button that is indicated by in the picture above.
3. This should open VeohTV and the movie should stream shortly.
